Non Traditional Media (Grade 11 Open)
Students will explore various techniques, materials and media.
Projects for this course may include but are not limited to:
- Exploring colour and watercolour techniques while using Adobe Photoshop and photography
- Acrylic colour study enlargement of a Group of Seven painting
- Silkscreen stencil design for fabric painting
- Using influential artwork from history and recreating a digital collage
AWT 3O
This course focuses on mixed media using a combination of studio activities blended with media base technologies. Students will create art works that explore a wide range of subject matter and materials. They will also examine historical and cultural context of Western art (including Canadian art) and art from various world cultures to support their study of specific media. This course will focus on non traditional image development using artistic mediums and currently software and technology.
Prerequisite: None but recommended for senior students who have already successfully taken ASM2O or senior students who do not have an arts credit.
