Visual Art (Grade 11- College/University)

Students will explore various techniques, materials and media.

 

Projects for this course may include but are not limited to:

 

- Drawing with the continuation of an existing image 


- Watercolour painting of a landscape study in postcard format 


- Clay construction of an architectural facade

 
- Drawing and acrylic painting insipration from a popular cultural image and the exploration of colour theory

 

 

AVI 3M

 

This course enables students to further develop their knowledge and skills in visual arts. Students will use the creative process to explore a wide range of themes through studio work that may include drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and the creation of collage and multimedia work. 

 

Western art, Canadian art and art forms from various parts of the world will be analyzed.

 

Students will use the critical analysis process when evaluating their own work and the work of others.

 

Prerequisites: AVI 1O or AVI 2O
